Today, the Alzheimer Society of Elgin – St. Thomas provides many services to directly help caregivers, families and health care providers. We provide one on one support to individuals and their families who are living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Assisting with improved quality of life for the people in Elgin whose lives are altered by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia (ADRD) is our chapter’s goal. Our role within healthcare is to provide training to professional caregivers so that they have the skills and knowledge to provide person centered care to their clients.
We are building a strong foundation of support, education and research for Elgin County residents now and well into the future. Quality of life belongs to each and every individual and we’re asking you to join us in learning, understanding and caring.
